Windows Security
About Course
The days of simple Windows XP desktops in a small workgroup have passed, as the Windows ecosystem has evolved considerably. Today, it includes Windows tablets, Azure, Active Directory, PowerShell, Microsoft 365 (Office 365), Hyper-V, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, and more. Microsoft is competing with Google, Amazon, and other cloud giants for cloud dominance, but the key is to ensure secure cloud usage.
Windows remains the most widely used and targeted operating system globally. The complexities of Active Directory, Public Key Infrastructure, BitLocker, endpoint security, and User Account Control present both challenges and opportunities. This course section provides an in-depth understanding of Windows security, teaching you how to use tools that simplify and automate your tasks, both on-premises and in the cloud (Microsoft Azure). By the end of the section, you will have a strong foundation in Windows security, focusing on automation and auditing capabilities within the Windows ecosystem.
